November 4, 1947
Regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa.
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M. by Mayor,
John Lefebure .
Councilmen present: Chas A. Elson, Chas J. Dvorak,
Frank L. Barta, C. J. Knickerbocker and John E. Murphy
Councilmen absent: None
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved.
Application for Class B . Beer Permit/ by Ralph H.
Emanuel, in renewal of his present permit which
expires Nov. 23, 1947, was read and it was moved
by Councilman Chas J. Dvorak, seconded by councilman
C. J. Knickerbocker and unanimously carried that
the Class B. Beer premit be issued to Ralph H.
Emanuel upon payment of the $150.00 fee and filing
of proper bond.
Councilman Chas J. Dvorak reported several holes
in the streets which were in need of attention and
it was agreed that Chas J. Dvorak and Frank L. Barta
arrange to obtain chips or finely crushed rock and
have the holes filled.
The matter of reckless use of B . B . guns by children
within the corporate limits of the town was discussed
and it was xmzsx decided that the Mayor consult with
the Town Marshall and perhaps if the Marshall talked
with the parents of the children some of the hazards
in connection with the use of said B . B. guns might
be eliminated.
There being no further business it was moved, seconded
and carried to adjourn.
