February 2, 1948
Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 2nd day of February, 1948 .
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M.
by Mayor, John Lefebure.
Councilmen present: Chas A. Elson, C. J.
Knickerbocker, Chas J . Dvorak, Frank L. Barta and
John E. Murphy.
Councilmen absent: None
The minutes of the preceding meeting were
read and approved.
The Clerk reported that Ralph Emanuel in-
quired as to whether or not a third beer permit
mijrht be issued in the event he sold ,:is present
tavern and desired to open a restaurant at another
location at which location he might want to sell
bottle beer only. The matter was discussed and
sentiment expressed by various councilmen but no
official action taken sj/168e no official puxx±±x
application for permit was presented.
There being no further business it was
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn .
