Special meeting of the Town Council of the
town of Fairfax, Iowa hold this 15th day of April,
1918.
The meeting easy called to order at 8 P. M.
by Maydr, John Lefebare .
councilmen/ present: Chas J. Dvorak, John E.
Murphy, Howard Steinmetz, W. W. Wims and Wm. F.
zama5til.
Councilmen absent: None
The minutes of the preceeding mzoting were
read and approved.
The contract from the Iowa Road Building Company,
Fairmont, Minnesota, dated April 5, 1948 for the pur-
chase of I car (approximately 8,000.00 gal. of road
Oil and spreading of aggregate) was read and the matter
of re5urfacing the streets of fairfax was discussed, and
it was moved by Councilman Chas J. Dvorak, seconded by
councilman Howard V. Steinment, and unanimously carried
that the Mayor and Town Clerk be and are hereby authorized
and instructed to sign said contract with the Iowa Road
Building Company as read.
The matter of looking after some drainage near
the Probst Service Station was discussed and it was
.breed that the entire council would look the situation
over Monday evening, April 19th) at about 7 P. U.
The Clerk reported that James Claflin planned
to do the grading at the east end of Main street
Monday morning at about 8 : 30 or 9 o ' clock and some
of the councilmen should be there. Councilman,
Wm. F. Zamastil agreed to see Raymond Snell about
delivering some rock to cover that part of the
street with.
There being no further busines5 it was moved,
seconded and carried to adjourn.
