Regular meeting of the Town Council of they
Town of Fairfax, loaa held this 4th day of
October, 1948 .
he weeting was called to order at C P. M. by
Mayor, John Lefebur e
Councilmen Present : Chas J. Dvorak, John E.
Murphy, W. W Wims and Wm. Fm Zamasti=l
Councilman Absent: Howard U. Steinmetz.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting sere read
and approved.
Lester E. Mitchell ell and Glenn F. Selzer, repre-
senting Pekomy Post 572, The American Legion ,
appeared before the council_ and discussed the
proposition of the Town Acquiring the lots
at the west end of Main ,Street for use as a
ton park, or pl aygro=0 No decision was
reached but the coy census prevailed by all
present that the Town should acquire the lots
for use as a. park and p aygvound if a price
could be agreed upon and means found by which
the to:t•°a could purchase same. The town c7..,,rk
was to determine by ;chat Weans and process
the property might be acquired and Mr. Mitchell
and Mr. Selzer were to report to the American
Legion to determine their exact attitude, and
perhaps an official committee appointed by the
American Legion would meet with the Council at
a later date..
Ball for $10.00 covar ng premium on Marshal ' s bond
was presented and it was moved by Chas J.Dvorak,
seconded by mm Fa Zama5t!l and carried that the
bill be allowed and ;.said®
It who moved by Chas J . Dvorak, zeconded by John E. j
Murphy and unanimously carried that the Town Clerk
be and is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
for fire protection with the tenant on the Perry
Farm at the east edge of Fairfau, said agreement to
continue as long as the ?resent tenant remains and
the agreement to be made in accordance with ordinance
