Special meeting of the Town Noun- 1 of
the Tot�.n of Fairfax, Iowa held this lath day
of September, 1949.
The meeting was called to order by John
E. Murphy, MyLpor.
All councilmen Nate present.
This meeting was called at the request
of Marvin Nelson representing the Concrete
Materials & Construction Company . Mr. Nelson,
C. J. Knickerbocker, and a Mr... Loge representing
the Dupont Company were present.
Mr. Nelson and Mr. Lowe discussed the
possibilities of reopening the Knickerbocker
Quarry. after considerable discussion and
explanation it was Moved by Howard Steinmetz,
seconded by Andrew Miller and unanimously
carried to permit the quarry to reopen under
the supervision of the DuPont Engineer and operate
if it can be done satisfactory.
There being no further business it was
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
