Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 3rd day of October, 1949.
The meeting has called to order at 8 P. 10.
by ,Mayor, John F. Murphy.
Councilmen present: Chas J. Dvorak, Andrew
G. Miller, Howard Steinmetz, W. W. Mans and
Tvm. F. Za.mastil. None absent.
The minutes of the meeting of July 26, 1049
and the meeting of Sept.13, 1949 were read and
approved.

A Bill for $ltd.®C to the National Surety
Corporation for a one year premium from Oct. 26,
1949 covering the town marshal was read and it was
moved by Chas J. Dvorak, Seconded by Vim. F. Zarmast .l
and unanimously carried. that the bill be allow,ved
and paid.
Mayor John Murphy reported that he was
advised by the American region that they did
not want to have the flag pole erected in front
of their building. It was then agreed that same
should be removed from the center of the street
intersection and erected on the Town Property
north of and rear the Town Hall and Fire station..
There being no further business it ivas
moved., seconded and carried to adjourn.
