M. by Mayor, John E. Murphy . Councilmen presnetm Chas J. Dvorak, Howard Steinmetz, W. W. Wims and Vim. F. Zamast:il. Councilmen absent: Andrew G. Diller. The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. An Ordinance Providing for the licensing and F regulation of scavengers' kno+ern as ordinance No. 18, was introduced by Councilman, Chas J. Dvorak and is as follows. ell All ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING AND REGULATION OF SCAVET�GERS. Be it ordained by the Town Co :ncil of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corporation to pursue or be engaged in scavenger work within the corporate limits of this town without first having procured a license therefor. Section 2. The meyor may at any time refuse to 4 issue any license provided for in this ordinance or may revoke the same after it has been issued if in his judgement it is to the best interests of the public that such license be not granted or be revoked. Section 8. The license fee for the right to per- form scavenger ivork in the limits of the town shall be One Dollar ($1.00) for each individual outhouse or septic tank to be cleaned (location of same to be designated in said license) . Section 4. Any person' firm or corporation viola- ting any of the: provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be subject to a fine not exceeding $100.00 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days. Zaamastil,, and unanimously carried that the above and foregoing ordinance as Atroduced. by Councilman Chas J. vor°ak be adopted. It was moved by Councilman W. T. Wms, Seconded by ConnKlman Chas J . Dvor°ak, and unanimously carried that the second and third readings of the above and foregoing ordinance be dispensed with and that the said ordinance be adopted n5 of this date to be in full force and effectip upon publication Ss provided by law.
