Regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa.
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M.
by Mayor, John E. Murphy.
All Councilmen were present,
The minutes of the preceedi' n,g meeting were
read and approved.
A Handbook for Iowa Councilman, Issued by
Russell M. Ross, State University of Iowa, and
furnished thru courtesy of League of Iowa Munici-
palities, was distributed to each of the Councilmen.
An application by Betty Emanuel for a Class
C. Beer Permit and also an application for a
Cigarette permit was read, and it was ;roved by
Councilman,, Andrew C. :miller, seconded by Councilman
. W. if ims2 and unanimously carried to issue said
permits to Betty Emanuel as per applications upon
filing of proper bonds .
It was moved by Councilman. Howard Steinmetz,
seconded by councilman Win. F. Za.ma.stil, and unanimously
carried , that the dog license for 1950 be Q.00
for each female and $1. 00 for each male or spayed
female.
It was moved by W. hum Vim5,, seconded by
Steinmetz, and unanimously carried to offer the
flag pale which was removed from the center of
the street intersection dt Main & Vanderbilt
and is now lying on the ground north of the Wims
Grocery to Rev. B . L. White, free, of charge, and
if he did not want it then the clerk was authorized
to dispose of it as best he could.
There being no further business to come be-
fore the meeting it was moved, seconded and carried
to adjourn.
