Meeting of the Town CoL?nci_l of the Toti7n of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 3rd day of July, 1950 .
The meeting was called to order at 7: 45 F. V. �
and all councilmen were present.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting �rere
reed and approved.
The Budget Estimate as follows for the year
begi.nnin , April. 1, 1951 was prepared and presented
by the Town Clerk:
Consolidated fund _ - - _,. - _ ¢ $2,090.00
Fire Maintenance. - -- - -- -- -- 165.00
Fire Equipment _ m- - -- -- _ _ - 220.00
City Hall-Maintenance _ _ 220.00
Total to be raised by tELxatiocn 2, C95 .00
The budget as presented . was discussed and
studied) and it was moved by Councilman Howard
Steinmetz, seconded by councilman, Vim. F. Zamastil,
and unanimously carried that the estimate.-,.as presented
be filed and that the clerk be and is hereby authorized
and instructed to publish same in the Cedar Rapids
Gazette, and that the elate of hearing on said budget
be set for July 24, 1950 at the Fairfax State Savings
Bank at 8 F. W.
It was moved by W. W. Wiens,, seconded by Howard
Steinmetz, and -unanimously carried, that the cler4 be
and is hereby authorized and instructed to reimburse:
Franklin J. Karal and Edna DeLanay for culverts which
these persons had heretofore installed at their expense,.
It was ;moved by Howard Steinmetz, seconded by
Andrer,, G. M..ill.er, and unanimously carried that
Ackley, attorney of Cedar Rapids, Iona, be permitted
to use space in the town hall and fire station an
such days as he comes to Fairfax to follony his profession
of Law and Income Tax Service.
The Tongan clerk was instructed to see about having
the weeds spayed along the ditches at the road sides
beginning at the :oath end of Vanderbilt street and
thence running east.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting; it was moved, seconded and carried to
adjourn.
