Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of

Fairfax, Iowa held this 22nd day of January , 1951

The meeting was called to order at C P. M.
'i by udayor, John F. Muephy.
1J. councialmen were present.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
read and approved.
':the matter of treating the streets to a coat
of oil and clips during the coming ,sumioer was discussed®
It was reported that a representative of the Ioi,a. Road
Building Company of :Fairbault, Minn and a representative
of the V-Lillma.n Co. , Cedar Rapids, Iowa had talked vYith
the to;en clerk regarding this work...
After some discussion it was the consensus of
opinions that this arork should? be dune and the Clerk
m°as to Prite the Concrete Materials & Construction
Company of Cedar Rapids, Iowa regarding the availa.oiiity
of Chips and the price; also to write 'to the Bituminous
Materials Co. of 11daricn, Iowa advising then that we may
be needing about 2555 tons of their repair mix again this
summer.
It gas agreed that after the information re-
garding price of chips, etc was obtained another ,vould
be held to further complete arrangements, etc.
There being no further husines to come before
the meeting it was moored, seconded and carried to
adjourn.
