Meeting of the Torn Council of the Torn. of
Fairfax, Iowa held. this 7th day of May, 1951.
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M.
by Mayor, John E. Murphy.
Councilmen present: Chas J. Dvorak., Andrevr
G. Miller, Howard Steinmetz, and Wm. F. Zamastil.
Couxa il.man Tv. W. Wints was absent.
The minutes of the proceeding meeting were
read and approved.
Several communications were read.
The Toym clerk reported a telephone call
fraom a representative of the portable pomp -which
is being considered for purchase and that said
representative would be in Fairfax on Friday,
May 11th to call on the Fire Chief. All councilmen
that found it pos�iblee were to try and be about torn
on that day to see the pump which this representativ
was delivering to Cedar Rapids, and -to talk with
him.
The matter of placing some chips on the
street in the vicinity of the Elevator was discussed
and it was :a that some should be furnished®
Also the matter of perhaps obtaining chips
from the Crawford Quarry instead of the Concrete
Materials & 6onstruction Co. was discussed and
it was agreed this matter would be investigated.
There being no further business it was
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
