Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
I
Fairfax, Iowa.
The meeting was called to order at 8 P. M. by
Mayor, John E. Murphy.
Councilman present: Chas J. Dvorak, Andrew C.
?filler, Howard. Steinmetz' W. w. Wims and Edna. F.
Zamastil.
Absent care
The minutes of the preceedi g meeting were read and
approved
The letter from Homelaite Corporation, dated May 50,
19512 quoting prices on a Model 2352 pump, hose and adapter
was read, and discussed, and it was moved by Councilman
Howard Steinmetz, seconded by Andrew G. Miller,, and unani-
mously carried that we purchase same as per riuota.tion and
the Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to place the
order.
The following applications 'or rene wal of cigarette
permits was read:

Emma. & Chas Boland, Dunlap -�t Mi,llerp Paula M. Mason,
and Raymond W. Probst.
It was moved by Chas J. Dvorak, seconded by Tim. F.
Zamastil, and unanimously carried that the cigarette ermit
be renewed upon payment, of the $50.00 .fee and filing of proper'
bond.
Application by Emma & Chas J. Boland for reneval of
Glass B. Permit effective from July 11 1951 was read and
it was moved by W. . Wims, seconded by Howard Steinmetz,
and unanimously carried that the same be renewed uponpay a nt
of the $150.00 permit fee and filing of proper bond.
Better from League of Iowa Municipalities was read
and statemelt for dues presented, and it was moved by Chars
J. Dvorak, seconded by Howard Steinmetz, and unanimously
ca.rred that the dues of $25.00 be paid.
The matter of considerable fast and reckless driving,
byy youngesers and others on the streets and highway 149
was discussed All agreed that something should be doaae
to eliminate much of such driving but no positive action
taken.
Where being no further business to come lbefore the
mee g 3t was moved, seconded and ca rigid toy djourn.
