Meeting of the Town Council of town of Fairfax, i
Iowa held this 13th day of August, 1951 .
The meeting was called to order at 7 : 3€I P.M.
by Mayor John B. Murphy.
All councilmen were present.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.
The Budget Estimate as presented and filed at
the July 30, 1951 meeting, having been published in the
Cedar Rapids, Iowa Gazette as provided by law, was con-
sidered. There being no taxpgyers present to object, and
no objections having been filed, it was moved by Councilmen
Ho and Steinmetz, seconded by councilman. W. 9. Wims, tax
and unanimously carried to adopt the budget as filed and
published and that the Torn Clerk be and is hereby in-
structed and authorized to file same with the County
Auditor.
A letter from the Ionia Municipal Finance Officers
Association regarding meetings to be held over the state
which meetings are intended to help iron out sortie of
the problems of accounting and various new laws was
read.
It was moved, seconded and carried that the Mayor,
the Clerk, and as many of the councilmen as possible
attend the meeting at Waterloo August 0th.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting it Baas moved, seconded and carried to
adj ourn.
