December 23, 1951
Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 28th day of December, 1951.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. H.
by Mayor, John E. Huephy.
Councilmen present : Andrew Mill, Howard Steinmetz,
W. W. Wims and Wm. F. Zamastil.
Councilman absents Chas J. Dvorak.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
read and approved,
The street and alley committee reported
that they had viewed the property owned by H.P.
Losey, formerly the Cross property, with regard
to Mr. Losey's request for a culvert . They
reported it was their opinion that a culvert
was not practical at that paint and really not
nneded.
Warrants No. 1018 to No. 1072 :inclusive
were read and it was moored, seconded and carried
that all expenditures as made by said warrants is
hereby app roved.
The Town Treasurer reported a balance on
had at the close of Dec. 31, 1951 as follows
In the General Fund _ _ - - _ $269.71
In the City Hall Fund 361.97
Total _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - - _ _ _ 1.6
It was. moved, seconded and carried that these
balances be transfered to the following funds to
begin the new fiscal year as of Jan. 1, 1952 :
To the General fund _ - - _ _ _ _ $51.63
To the Street fund _ - _ - - - _ 100.00
To the Public Safety Fund 350.00
To the Sanitation Fund _ _ _ _ 50.00
To the Utilities Fund _ _ _ d .. 100.00
It was moved, seconded and carried tO pay
the Fairfax State Savings Ban $21.00 as rent for
the past 21 months.
There being no further business to come b e-
fore the meeting it was moved, seconded and carried
toadjoutn.
