Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Fairfax, Iowa held this 24th day of March, 1952.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.R.
by Mayor John E. Muephy.
Councilmen present , Andrew G. Miller' Howard
Steinmetz, W. W. wims and Wry. F. Zamastil..
Councilman Chas J. Dvorak was absent .
Mayor elect, Frank J. Karal was present .
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read
and approved.
The Treasurer's report showing a balance: of
$903.67 was read and ordered filed.
The following bills were reads Linn Co-Op Oil
Co. $20.89 and $15.20, Thos M. Bowler $2.30, Ta.El.
Lt . & Fewer Co. $29.73 & $1.02 were read and payment
of same by warrents No. 3 to 12 inclusive was approved.

Application for renewal of Class B. Beer permit {
by Dunlap & Miller was read and it was roved. by TFoward
Steinmetz, seconded by Andrew Miller and unanimously
carried that the Permit be issued upon filing of proper
bond and payment of the licnese fee of $150.00.
The Clergy read a letter from the League of Iona
Municipalities with reference to paying for fire equipment
by the Township by taxation. Various matters therein
discussed. Also read a letter from the Linn County
Auditor regarding the assessed valuation of properties
in Fairfax Township. 'fhe letters were ordered filed
for future reference.
Informal. discussion followed regarding Marshal 's
salary, omitted dog assessments, Town Attorney, Town
Street Commissioner, etc. etc.
There being no further business it was moved,
seconded and carried to adjourn.
