Special meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa,
The eeting was called to order at 7 ® 30 P.M.
by 'Mayor Franklin J. Karal.
All Councilmen present.
The minutes of preceeding were not read.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss
and plan on graveling the street beginning at the
south end of Vanderbilt street and .running east
to the Town Corporate Limits.
It was decided to obtain additional information,
including the assessed value of the various lots
abutting said street on the north and the opinion
prevailed it would be well to work out some sort
of voluntary assessamtt and submit it to the interested
property owners prior to snaking the improvements.
The Mayor took the renames and lot num hers

of the lots on which information was needed and 1
was also to see the County Engineer regarding
the amount of gravel ordinarily needed to surface
such a highway. When this information was
available another meeting would be held.
There: being no further business it was
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn,
