HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/03/1954 Council Minutes March 3, 1954 Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa held this 3rd day of March, 1954 The meeting was called to order at 7 P. M. with all members of the Council present and Mayor Joe Petrzel a presiding. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. It was reported that the Chief, and some other members of the Atkins Fire Department met with the members of the Fairfax Fire Department and requested that a mutual agreement for exchange of assistance between the two departments be agreed upon, It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that If the Fairfax Fire Department is called by the Atkins Fare Department asking for aid that wane be given, without charge, and on condition that the Atkins Fire Department give aid to the Fairfax Fire Department without charge. The Treasurer's report showing a balance of 7,023.83 on had was rears and it was moved, seconded and carried that the report be approved. Dill represented by vouchers 133 to 191 inclusive were read and approved' and it was moved by Chas J. Dvorak, Seconded by Howard Steinmetz, and unanimously carried that the bills be allowed and warrants in payment of same approved. It was moved by Chas J. Dvorak, seconded by Andrew Miller, and unanimously carried to .install three additional street lights as follows, 1 at south egad of Vanderbilt Street, 1 about 300 feet east of same and another about 300 feet east of the second light, and that the Town Clerk male a.rramsements with 'the Iowa Electric Light & Power Company for having wane i.natalledo There being no further business to crane before the meet .ng it was moved, seconded and carried, to adjourn.
