Meeting of the Town Council of the 'Town of Fairfax, I

The meeting was called to order at 7.- 30 P,M. by

The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approvedo
A letter dated Feb. 169 1954 to John L. Neuhaus, Secretary-
Treasurer of the Fairfax Fire Department from D. P. Valentine ,
rain aster, CHSTP P RR Co. red'Tardin charges for fire service
was read and after such discussion it was raved, seconded and
carried to s "b i.t an offer to both the C S`fP P RR Co and the
C. & N.W. RR Co, as follows:
Upon payment of a $75.00 membership, by either or
each of the companies we will give free service covering
fires on the Right-of-way of the company making in the payment
at any point within the borders of Fairfax Township that
is available or accessible to the fire truc o and that the
'own clerk be, and is hereby instructed and authorized to
so advise each comp (The foreg'oing motion made by
Mixner and seconded by Steinmetz)

`fawn Harshal McCaughey requested the town purchase
a belt, holster-, and ther° equipment needed at a price of
$7.66 and it was moved by M L ner°, seconded by Stein ent , and
uannim ously carried that his request be granted and the purchase
made.
The treasurer 's report showing total fronds of $79145.67
on hand and it was moved Steinmentz, seconded by Dvorak and
uannimously carried that the report be approved,
Bills Nam 192 to #200 bath inclusive were read and it
was moved, seconded, and carried that the bills be allowed
and warrants in corresponding nubers in payment ofsame be
approved®
The tower clerk reported to the Town Council that some
complaints had been received with regard to the disorders and
fights occuri.ng at the Tylee tavern and recommended that the
council go can re ord advising Mrs f lee that if further
disorders occur the license will be suspended and if her
husband continues to assist in the operation of the tavern
or lives there or has anything; whatever to do with its operation
the Veer permit will not be renewed when it expires,
April 7, 1954 Continued

It was moved by Dvorak, .seconded by Steinmetz and unanimously

It was reeved by Miller, seconded by Nizner and unanimously
carried that John L. Neuhaus be paid $25.00 per year salary as
secretary-treasurer of the Pire Department.
