Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax,
Iowa held this tb day of 31 y, 1955.
The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P.M. by Nay r,

All councilmon were present,
The minutes of the r eceeding meeting were read and
ppprovad.

request for approval of a -re I t of a part of r ickerbo r
Addition to Fairfax and s®rz°e additions thereto. Attorney,
Warren C® Ackley was present and upon examination of the
matters presented by Mr. Knickerbocker made some r cumnendatl rr
as to additional na matters required ired bef x e the Council could formally
accept the l t and it was suggested that Mr. Knickerbocker have
his attorney ne consult with Mr. Ackley and when all matters are in
legal swaps and approved by Xr. Ackley the matter be resubmitted
to the council. A.A. Sbhulte representing St. PatAicks
. G,J.Koch 9 R. Nemec, Jr./and Ctrs Helen Marx and her hus-
band appeared before the council regarding the matter of opening
a street south of Churh Street continuing Regholds Street®
After much long discussion it was decided that Hr. Koch would
consult with his wife and advise whather or not they would
eater into a d ed to thQ to n , free, the town to grade and
gravel said extended street. All others expressed a willingness
and desire to open the said strect. Mr. Schulte speaking for
St. Patrick's Ch r stated that it was ipmaterial to the
but if all the others desired to have the street opened they
would go along.
The treasurer's report was read and it was moped, seconded
and carried that the same be approved.
Bills as represented by warrants, o. 306 to No. 3089
bath inclusive , were read and it was moved, seconded and

A resolution was passed authorizing a street light at
the intersection of Vanderbilt St. and L y venuo,
letter from Concrete Materials o tructio n Company
offering to furnish 400 to 450 turns of 1/4" washed chips f. .b.
the Otis Quarry at $1.25 and an cffer° from the L. Crawford Lime
and Quarry Co. to furnish xxmz 400 tons at $1. 55 were read and
it was moved by XOner, ascended by t ;inmetz and carried that
the offer and bid of the Concrete At rt s and Construction be accepted and the Town Clerk notify them that hauling of said
material will commence about June 19 1955,
Upon Mr. Ackleys recommendation it was r owed, o d d and
carried to have Mr. Ackley prepare e a zoning ordinance to be
submitted ted t the Council for their action.
The committee on the investigation-of difficultia3 with
sewage being dumped to the r dsied reported and it was agreed
they were to notify the complaining individual th t since the
was also permitting his sewage to flow into this sage ditch
they could get t . ether° and all arrange for a tile to be in-
