HomeMy WebLinkAbout09/14/1955 Council Minutes September® 14, 1955 Special meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax, Iowa held this 14th day of September, 1955. The meeting was called to order at 6 P . M. by Mayor, Joseph Petrzelka. Councilmen Present: Andrew Dill , Raymond Mizner, Howard Steinmetz and Wm., F. Zamastil. Councilman absent: Chas J.Dvorak. The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Bills as represented by Warrants No. 336 yo No. 346 in- clisive were read and it was moved, seconded and unanimously cat-Tied that the bills be allowed and warrants as dramn in payment of same be and are hereby approved, It was moved, seconded and carried that the Marhh►als bond be renwed. The treasurer's report showing a balance of $6',170.52 was read and approved. resolution of the Zoning & Planning Commission as adopted by then August 25th was read and it was mo,,ed by Mizner, seconded by Steinmetz and unanimously carried that same be accepted and adopted as read; a copy of said resolution being attached hereto and made a party of these minutes. Ori.nance No. 22, being an Cr inance regulating and restricting the location, construction, use of buildings, etc. a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part hereof was read and it was Moved by Steinmetz, seconded by Xizner and unanimously Carried that said ordinance be adopted , The matter of the legal opinion regarding the Siepman add- ition was again discussed, an opinion by James E. Brownell being presented. attorney, Warren Ackley stated that in his opinion title to said property was not cleat~ in Henry W. Siepman due to the estate of Maybelle Siepman not being closed. The matter was deferred until some later meeting.. There being no further business to come before the meeting it was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn. � %' Mayor Town Clerk
