Regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Fairfax, Iowa hale this 3rd day of Octobers
19"6.
The meeting was calle d to order at 7 :30 P M
by Mayor, Raymond D. Mizner.
All councilmen were present: Chas i. Dvorak,
Ralph Emanuel, F. Keith Listebapger, Howard V. Stwinnatz2
and Leonard .flay Y neco h.W

The minutea of the regular meeting Held :Sept. 5,
1956 and the special meeting held Sept. 11, 1956 were
read and approved.
it was moved2 seconded W carried that the
insurance poll cy 7 the Iowa National Mutual Insurance
Conpany cov ing the fire tr ck and vfh ch will expire
Oct. 27th, 1956 be renewed and that the Bodily Injury
Liability coverage (A) be increased to reA 0409000.00-
$100,000.00 and the Property Damagy Liability (B) be
increased to read. $10,COO.0.
it was moved, absconded and carried that the
Marshal' s bond wAich will expire Oct. 26, 1?06 be
resewed in the same amount.
7he treasurer' s report was read and it was
moved, seconded and carried that same be approved.
Counellman, Howard V. Steinmetz, offered the
following resolution:
E IT RESOLVED:
That a special election be called by the Town
Council on the 0th day of October, 1956, that not:lc"�
thereof be given and that at ouch election a vote b�,,
taken as to whether or not the 'T'-own of Fairfax, Iowa]
�t to exceed $8,000.00
should become indebted in a s,1-L-. nc
and isoue bonds for said Indebtedness, not to exceed
$8,000.00 and make an aDnual asoessment against thr�
taxable S' "E ert°y in Fairfax, Iowa, not to e5ce d
Eight ( ) mill to pay the prfnnipal and i,ntereot
on s uch indebtedness.
It was moved by Councilnan Ralph Emanuel,
and Seconded by Councilman Charles J. Dvorak$ that
the re of ti n an offered be accepted.

Minutes of the meeting of Oct. 3, continued,

Roll call by the Mayor showed that all councilmen
voted in favor adopting the resolution as offered, and
the Mayor declared thy; motlon carried..
The matter of numerous dogs running t large came
p for discussion. Marshall C . Lm McCaughey was present,
akng with ether citizens, and it waa agreed that the
Marshall shall take such action ai is proper under our
present ordinances to see that each dog is properly
tagged or disposed of in accordance with the ordinance.
The town clerk was instructed to ail notices to
each reU dent off, the Town advising them that unless
battles, j rs, tin cans, etc. be broken and crused
they cannot b ke d up.
There being no further business to come before
the meeting It was moved, seconded and carried to
adjourn.
