Meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Fairfax,
Iowa held this 7th day of Mai-, 1957.

Meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P . M. by Mayor
Raymond D. Mi ner with all councilmen present.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved.
The treasurerPs report was read and approved.
Bills as represented by warrants #504 to #507 inclusive
were read and it was Moved, seconded and carried that
they be approved..
Bill from L. Crawford. Lime and Quarry iCo. for $7.90,
and bill from Loren S. Carver for $72.00 for work on
streets, removing snow, last winter were read and it
was moved, seconded and carried that they be paid.
Request from Mr. Patrick for some relief from the
gravel dust in front of his place was discussed and
the opinion prevailed that since several, other places
were in the same catagor7 no action should be taken
at this time ® e Clerk was to advise him of the
decision and Councilman Leonard Yaraeeek stated that
If Petrick wanted to do so he could obtain considerable
used motor oil at Wi_twer' s that he might ght apply if he
so desired.
A.;plication for Cigarette Permit by Royale Ball Room,
Kurtz. Bros. was .read and it was moved, seconded and
carried that same be granted upon filing of proper
band and payment of the statutory fee.
Application for Mass B. Beer permit by Roy le Ball
Room,, Kurtz Bros. was read and it was moved, seconded
and carried that same be issued upon filing ofproper
bond and patent of the $150.00 annual l tense
Mayor, Ra7mond D. Mizner, appointed: F. Keith Listebarger
Mayer Pro Tempore and it was moved by Chas J. Dvorak,
Seconded by Ralph Emanuel, and unanimously carried
that said appointment be approved (See. 3b8A.3)
There bein no further business to core before the
meeting it was moved, seconded and carried to
adjourn.
