Meeting of the Town Council held this second day of July, 1953.
e at '1.30 with all council.
Mayor Mizner called the meeting to order ,
men present. Minutes of the prevkous meeting were read and
approved. The treasurers report was ream and approved. Warrants
number 624 thru 623' were read and approved.
Motion to hire Ed Wilson to replace Marshall McCaughey while the
later was on 'vacation. His wages will be $1.25 per hour and
nine cents per mile.
Motion by Listebar er and seconded by Steinmetz to employ the
services of bechner Engineering Company of Ames, Ia. to provide
the council with a preliminary estimate on the cost of constructing
a municipal water works. Lechners fee is to be $375.009 and the
figures are to be submitted at the August 6, 1958 meeting®
Motion carried unanimously.
Clekk presented a Budget Estimate and Record of Filing for the
year beginning Jana. 1, 1959 as follows:

The budget estimate as presented was considered and it was
moved, seconded and carried that the clerk have the same pub-
lished as presented in the Cedar Rapids Gazette and that the
time and date for hearing on said budget estimate be fixed as
7;30 P. M. at Fairfax State Savings Banks Fairfaxt Iowa' August
6,
1958.
There being no further business before this meeting, it was
moved, seconded and approved that the meeting adjourn.
