The meeting of the town council of Fairfax called to order at 7;30
F. K. by mayor Eistebarger with all councilmen present. The minutes
of the precious meeting were read and approved. The treasurers report
was read and approved. The warrants no. 708 thru 717 were read and
approved.
Motion mace by Emanuel and seconded by Steinmetz that repairs in
the approximate amount of $60. 00 beauthori ed for the road grader.,
Notion unanimously approved.
class B. Beer permit was approved for Emma and Charles Boland
providing proper applications and bond be filedwith the clerk.
This motion made by Dvorak and stir.. by Ya.necek. Unanimously approved.
Motion by Steinmetz, seed. by Y necek and unanimously approved that upon
presentation of proper applications and bonds, the following cigarette
permits be issued. Elmer Vorel, Franks Texaco Service, Shirley Joyce,
Charles Boland and the Royale Ballroom.
Motion by Emanuel and seconded by Yanecek that Clarence Nesk men be
paid $50.00 crop damages in addition to the regular rent at the dumping
'grounds. Motion unanimously approved
Miss Norenberg, who is ontemplating purchasing some land from Knick-
erbocker appeared at the mee ing to determine what the zoning comm.
had done with her request For rezpning. She was told by the council
that them would be no objection to the zoning commission recommendations,
but a ward of warning about the high water on the proposed Location.
Mayor announced that there would be a special meeting of the town
council June 5 to ca.nvall the election and that all council
members be present.
The mayor proposed the name of Richard Jo Zenisek to fill the
vacancy on the council. created by the resignation of Bruce F. Young
when Young moved ffom the city. A ballot was taken and Zeniek I
was unanimously approved. He is to be sworn in at the next regular �
ee ing.
No further business, the mee i.ng adjourned.
recommendation by Emanuel and Steinmetz to obtain an alternate
bid from the engineers to determine the cost of extending the water®
sins north of Prairie creek.
