July 1, 1959
The regular mee*ing of the town council of the town of Fairfax
held this first day of July 1959. Councilmen Dvorak and
Yanecek absent. Emanuel and Steinmetz present. Councilman
elect Richard Zenisek was peesent and was duly sworn in by
the town clerk.
'The minutes of the June 3 regular meeting, and the special
mee ings of June 5,9, and 18 were read and approved.
'The treasurers report showing a balance ofa169841.30 was
read and approved. Warrants no. 718 thru 734 were read and
approved.
The proposed contract with Lechner Engineering company, in
regard to our construction of the municipal water system, and
as per copy attached, was approved on motion by Steinmetz and
seconded by Zenisek with unanimous approval,
motion by Steinmetz and aeconded by Zenisek that effective July
69 1959, the dalary of the councilmen be increase, from the
current $2.00 per meeting to $3. 00 per meeting. The motion was
approved.
clerk instructed to notify the Iowa League of the appointment
of Zenisek as councilmane
No further business, it was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
