A special ,meeting of the town council was held this 16th
day of December, 1959 at 7 ; 30 Phi® All councilmen present
except Zenisek.
The minutes of the Deed 2 meeting were read and approved.
Warrants no. 23 thru 50 were read and approved.
A notice from the Iowa Natu al Resources Council pertaining
-to the public hearing in regard to our request to draw water
for® the minicipal well was read. The town clerk was inn true ted
to attent the meeting and represent the town at 1 ;00 P
December 29 at the eater Commissioners office in Des Moines.
The first estimate on the contract with Ernster & Co. in the
amount of , 13,345 .23 was approved, less the 10% retainer, or
a net of $129460. 75. 'his estimate having first been ap,,)roved
by Lechner Erg® Co.
There being no objectors present, and no objections filed,
i� w9s mowed, seconded and carried. that the amendment of
budget as published in the Cedar Rapids Gazette Dec;. 4, 1959
be and is hereby approved,
A motion by Steinme � and seconded by Emanuel that the second
and third reading of ordinance no. 29 be dispensed with.
Notion unanimously approved
There being no further business to come before the meeting,
it 'was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
