Larch 2, 1960
The regular meeting of the town council was held March 2 ,
. P. eating called to order by Mayor :Ustebarger
1960 at 7 ,OQ P M M
with all councilmen present except Yanecek*
The minutes of the Feb. 3 and Feb. .,18 meeting were read and
approved. Warrants no. 67 thru 80 were read and approved.
The Treasurers report showing a balance of $13,579.30 were
read and approved.
Estimate no. 3 from Ernster and Co. was read in the amount
of. $8,184.46 which included the 10% retainer. This estimate
had been approved by "Lec€finer :Eng. Co. Council moved, seconded
and approved this estimate to. be approved.
Estimate no. 2 from Lechner °Engineering o. in the amount of
$1$897.67 was read and approved.
The building Inspector was instructed to wtite `to Mrs. Norenber,g if

Arthur M. Lees, Jr. from Lechner Eng. Lo. was present to discuss
with the council certain proposed water rates. From available
data, it was determined that $5.48 'revenue from each connection
would be necessary to pay all operating expenses plus bond and
interest cost. A irate for the so called. "'dry connections"

Mr. Less and Mr.* Ernster was consulted about the purchase of
water meters.. Their advice was to purchase either Badger or
Trident meters. Two councilmen and,

they would attempt to visit the Cedar Ra ids repair shop prior
to the next meeting to attempt to gain information to aid in
the final ;determination.
The question of connections for the David Mcamara and Alice
Sampson property was discussed. A rough estimate by Ernster
indicated the cost to the town would be prohibitive, but it
Was thought that the town could spend $991.00 eadh if the owners
wished to stnad the difference themselves. This question tabled
f or the present time.
