A special meeting of the town council of the town of Fairfax
was called to order at 7 ;30 PM. this 9th day of Harch, 1960
by Mayor L,istebarger with all councilmen present.
The minutes and treasurers report , as well as bills were passed
by until the next meeting.
After some discussion on various water meters, a vote was taken
and the Badger Water Meter Co. received tour votes and the
Rockwell Co. received one vote. Motion made by ZenisekA and
seconded by Steinmetz that the clerk be instructed to order 100
Meters, size 5/3T1 X 3/411 , with 75 for immediate shipment.

The ordinance covering the water system was discussed. The
following items were mentioned as being recommended to the
town attorney to consider in drafting the ordinance.
1. The crier of city water must have a completely separate
system if he has other water facilities on the premises,
2 . The connec-tion from the corp. stop to the water meter
should be constructed of minimum 3/411 K haa.vy copper
tubing.
3. Any individual, -partnership or corporation in the process
of working in conjunction with the present water construction
project should provide the following for the towns protection.
a/ A cash or corporate bond of sufficient size as to
put a warranty on the work accomplished.
b/ Provide evidence of- public liability insurance in
adequate limits.
It was pointed out that there will be approximately 90 to 95
water users of city water. The council then decided that a
minimum rate per month would be $5. 00 for such users, and a
charge of $3.00 would be charged to those people hawing a
connection made, but not actually mmki using city water. The
minimum rate of $5.010 would allow approx. 3,500 gallons of
water per month as computed on the following scale.
First 1000 gallon per month $1. 02 per 1000 gallon
Next 3000 gallon per month .65 11 11 1s.
Next 6000 gallon per month .45 11 11 1r
Each additional 1000 gallon per month .30 11 1r 1e
Provided that the $5.00 Minimum for each user applies to these rates.

They, mayor announced that a meeting of all interested town people
wo!:ld be held March 22 at the American Legion Hall to provide
the people an opportunity to ask uestions concerning the system
and give thew the chance to sign the honk up agreements.
Clerk instructed to check with the attorney to determine whether
each user should sign a deparate agreement or riot.
After the clerk could obtain a rough listing of the duties of
the Water Superintendent, he is instructed to write to Fred W.
Palmer and Charles J. Dvorak asking Them to submit bids so far
as that particular job is concerned.
No further business to come before the meeting, it was moved,
seconded and carried to adjourn.
