The regulai, council meeting of the town of Fairfax was
called to order by Mayor Selzer at 7 - 30.
Councilmen presents
Mr. & firs. Henry ovotny and Charles F. Yanecek appeared
before the council to determine whether or not they had
proper space to build/ a house. Specifically, Novotny' s
requested permission to construct a one family dwelling
on the following described Land: The west 61 of Lot 23,
Block 1 and the East 549 of Lot 22 , Block 1. This would
provide a 601 frontage with depth at 1659 depth. This
would necessitate a. deed from Charles Yanecek to the
Novotny's for this tract of land, and that was agreeable
to Yanecek. It was mentioned that the garzge or shed
now occupied by Yanecek would be very close to or every
on the now boor dary line between the two tracts of land.
It was agteed by Yanecek and Novotny that however the
garage was lacated, it was rec:able to them.
The minutes of the September 7 and September 14 meeting
were read and approved.
War°rafits no. 137 thru 147 were read and approved.
A further discussion pertaining to the Starr annexation
was held, with Mr. Hall, the engineer present to explain
some of the material. Mr. Hall answered all questions
asked, Council was asked to make a deci si6n and notify
either fir. Ball or Mfrs. Stark.
Questions that care up after Hall and Stark left were
pertaining to the following? Street 'between lot 4 & 5.
The Size of the culverts necessary in the new grade made
by t he county. Maintanence of the streets in the coming
couple of years. What amount of gravel would constitute
"Adequate" surfacing. It was decided that no further
action would be taken until Mr. Hall provided the council
with a plat of the entire area as eventually hoped to be
developed. It was thought that some of the questions
could easier~ by answered if the entire picture were known.
Clerk instructed to contact Blough at South Slope in regard
d
to construction in the ditch at DuTAshar residence and
also some street work repair that will be necessa.ryas a
result of telephone system construction.
