A special meeting of the town council was held this '17th
day of July, 1961. All councilmen present ...except Yanecek.
Town attorney Ackley was present, al ong with the P. . & Z. Comm.
A discussion was held in regard to Lundys °proposal to
vacate Knickolette Avenue, and the construction of Lundy' s
Lane, _
There was considerable discussion on the vacation with the
welfare of the adjoining property 'owners in tend. It was
fairly agreed that the over all objective of any vacation
was to accomplish the following. Provide ''Neuhaus, °Kovar
and Wolfe with a portion of Knickolette :Avenue adjoining
their :property, if they want it. The balance° df . the street
then could be used to. best advantage in the development
of the area.
The necessary procedure to vacate would have to be followed
as-set forth in the -Irwq Code,
The town 'council then accepted the recommendation. .of the
Planning & Zoning Commission to accept what is `cal3a d 'Plat #1
which is roughly the area west of `Vander'Ibilt street extended,
and south of the ''pike that would be located on the south bank
of Prairie creep.

The 'council 'took this recommendation under advisement. pit
a motion made, seconded and unanimously approved, the so
called Plat` 1 was approved, as set forth 'above and : in the

plans of Lechner ngineerin Company, subject to .a final
disposition of Knickolette ,Avenue as previously discussed.
A tentative set of specifications were presented by Archie.
Conklin and discussed in some detail. Conklin indicated they
were such that the town ` could move in either direction f rom
these 'specifications, but it was a, start.
The Planning & Zoning Commission having approved these specifications
as being minimum, with seal cote as minimum street covering,
the saw was presented to the council. i
On motion being made, seconded and unanimously 'ppproved, the
council accepted the specs of Conklin in regard to curb and
getter as recommended ?.by the planning and zoning commission.
No definite action wa.s . taken in regard to street surfacing
by the town. council.
° . A motion to vacate Knickolette avenue xxx with the exception
of the 'specified tracts of land ad joinin Neuhaaus.. Kovar and
Wolfe : was We by Steinmetz and seconded by .Emahuel,` same being
unanimously approved.
There 'being no further business to come: before. the c ounci 19 it
was moved, seconded and carried to adjourn..
