Septa 6, 1061.
The regular meeting of the town council was held this . 6th day
of Sept. with. all councilmen present. except Zenisek. `
Mrs. Margaret Probst met. with the council in connection with
damaged blacktop at the site of her service station. .: Some of
this damage was a result of water construction and part from
the recent highway widening project. :after various .facets
of the problem was discussed, it was decided that the town would
contribute some cold mix blacktop for patching the 'part of the
effected area damaged by water construction. It was further
decided that the town would attempt to contact the highway
commission to see what they might do to repats their portion
of the damage, with the thought that both jobs might be most
economically done at the same time. Clerk instructed to contact
either Van. Snyder, . . Loy . or Slenn Neyer in this regard.
John Panes discussed the chances of the town buying an end loader
with the council. "the `Price was $850.00 with a trade of the
old grader. After some discussioh, a motion to buy the loader
was made byEmanuel and seconded by Steinmetz. Upon vote being
taken, there was two affirmative and two xKXxtixxx abstaining..
No action 't aken on this . further° until next meeting.
On motion by Nemec, seconded by Vanecek, and unanimously approved,
it was voted to amend ordinance no. to set the speed limit
in business district to 20 mph rather than 25 molt as it now reade
Motion by Steinmetz, seconded by Nemec ±x and unanimously approved
to dispense with the second and third readings of this ordinance.
Committee repotted nothing definite on the tap machine purchase.
Council, now moved to the Legion hall where they met with Lechner,
Nazette and P. & Z. Commission.
Lechner discussed in detail the terms of a possible contract
in connection with compensation to they engineer on a sww+rer job.
It was estimated that costs of obtaining a completed assessment
schedule for the town so that it could be decided whether or not
the actual construction of 'sewer could be accomplished would cost
in the vicinity of $11800.,00, but Whis could vary one way or the
other, since it is a cost"plus" job. Other work amounting to
about $600.00 as per contract would put the total engineering fee
to approximately $2 ,600,00 accrued up to the point where a d�finite
decision could be reached in regard to the financial feasibility
of sewer construction.
Lechner also discussed the location and function of a package
sewer treatment plant to be desired by Ia. Fund and located north
and east. `of the quarry. Lechner would fu.rnishthe town with a
completed plat request .by Septa 129 he thought, This temporary,
treatment plant would -accomodate about 60 hordes., and would just
be used until the 'town .obtained their own system. In the meantime,
it would be operated by the town, and the town m uld charge a
sewage rental from its users.
No further business, it was moored, 'seconded and ;approved to adjourn.
