special meeting of the `town council was held this 7th day
of Sept 9 '19.61 with all councilmen present
This a.eeting was especially for° the pure le of adopting
the ordinance . granting the Iowa Electric Light & Power
Cep,. a non exclusive franchise to operate within the
corporate limits cif .Fairfax for the next 25 years...

is on separate file with the clerk. This ordinance

John Banes met with the council again in regard to the
purchase of an end. lewder® No definitel action taken on
the purchase at this time, The " ter stands as it
did when the vote was taken- no purchase.
John Murphy met with the council in regard to advising
as. to what kind and type of water tap to purchase. It
` wra.s decided that Nur°phy's knowledge of the machine would
be the guide in buying one and thatLurphy be allowed
percent on b.is cost for h is services.
