The regular meeting of the town council was .held this '4th
day of October with all councilmen present.
Neuhaus absent, and Zenisek .acted as clerk*
Mrs. Richard Kendall met with the council in regard to a plugged
culvert in front of her residence. It was decided .to contact
Loren .Carver to. see if: he could re form the ditch to alleviate
the difficulty®
Attornyy. Harry Terpstra met with the council to discuss the
feasibility of establishing a, police court. Terpstra to consult
with town attorney Ackley on the matter, and would report 'back
to the council..
A discussion was held in regard to vacation of Knickolette
Avenue. Dick Naztte indicated that proper resolutions and
notices were `in order for :publication. October 25 was the
date set for the public hearing and sale of said Avenue.
On emotion by Ste nrmetz and seconded by ' anecek, it was unan-
imously approved to adopt- and pass the resolution for vacating
Knickolette. Avenue, and the. cler°k instructed to cause the proper
notices to be published as required. by law.
Attorney Don Ribble, along with Mrs. Bertina Stark, his client,,
visited with the council in regard to street specifications in
the proposed Starks addition to Fairfax. After various problems
were discussed, the council indicated they would take the situation.j
under advisement and contact mss. Stark o�r Dibble within a week
to advise of. their positio t® i
It was poved,,: seconded and unanimously approved to add another
street l ht .location near the Foy residence to the master resolution

on file with the la. Elec, Lt. .& :Power Co.
On motion by Steinmetz, seconded by Nemec, it was unanimously approved
to accept► the recommendation of the planning and zoning commission
in regard to 'change of zoning as requested by Franklin J. Karal
firom residential to, commercial on the following described property.
The west 10 acres of the SST -x' . NE 4 Section 9-82-8 lying south
of highway 149. This land is currently owned by James Aanville.
Clerk to be instructed to initiate the proper notices and hearings
on this change as required by law. I
It was moved, seconded and. unanimously approved to pay Serbousek
$10.00 as his costa in connection with the Beyer trial.
The treasurers report was read and approved.
Mayor gave notice that there would be a special meeting on Oct. .11,1 .
No further. bus inessf it was moved' seconded and carried to adjourn*. ..
