A special meeting of the town council was call3d this
first day of December by Mayon Selzer.
All councilmen were present :
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss a proposed
lagoon sate.
Clark Neuhaus reported that he had talked to the Town
Attorney. Ackley had visited with Don Ribble , attorney
for Bertina Stark4 and it appears that there 0 no chance
of obtaining 12 acres of lead from Mrs. Sp ark for the
lagoon site. Apparently, the 12 acres would take too much
land from qtrs. Star k' s proposed dev l pme t project.
Lechner Engi e r iqg Co. represe ntative visited the clerk
Dec . 1, and indicated that of the site wasn' t firmed by
very short.lyr, the application for Federal Funds would
be delayed one year.
At It now appears s t .gat the approximate 1 aces of land
owned by tie n :` h and Regis ArM south of Prairie Creek and
immediately adjacent on the east to Iona Fund, and north
of the C. & N. N. W. 7 could possibly be an advisable site,
This was cleared with Lechner today,
After much discussion a regard to this sate, sonsaderin
hat effect it would have on future growth in that area,
and what problems would ld. e involved by moving the site
acriss the railroad tr ach, the council unanimously ously approv d
a vi rg the clerk visit wa tar the ownars of said land and
determine drat the price would be for at. The clerk informed
to tell Arp that the _town would definitely like to have
an option to rcha this approximate 18 acres a til such
a time that at can be determined whetber or not the constr-
uction of a sanitary sewer is a financial feasibility for
the town to undertake.
No furtherbusiness to come before the meeting, at was i,
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn.
