Meeting of the Town council calla d to order at 7;30 by
Thyor Kubasa with all councilmen prosent .
The minutes of the Feb. 7 meeting were rea d and approved,
Hayor gave a report on Olds squad car and the necessary
repairs amounting to an estimated $70.00. After some
discussion in regard to the old car, it was unanimously
felt that the car was not worth repairing, NAyor Kubasa
had obtained estimates from seven garages which were read
and discussed. hKoWd Wevenson appeared to have the
lowest at approxiWely $2 ,100.00. Final figures would
be received after optional equipment was decided on.
The council gave Kubasa authority to negotiate with McDonald
Stevenson in regard to the purchase of a 1.962 Ford. If it
cold be obtainod for not more than $29100.00 with The listed
equipment V the mayor was a"thorized to sign a—purohase order. '
Clerk was instructed to writ to tiro State Auditor in regard
to a transfer of ''D1,000.00 from general fund to Public Safety
Fund. On motion by Sleinmetz and seconded by Zenisek, it
was unanimously approved by roll call vote that the council
make such trapsfer of $11000. 00 from general fund to Public
Safety fundv all subject to the approval of the :eta icy Compt-
roller and the necessary publications as provided for by law.
In acQordance with regulations, clerk -instructed to have
published in the Cedar Rapids Gazet% Tthe notice of transfer
and the amendment of currW budget. The hearing for this
transfer and amendment would be set for April 4 at 7;30 PX.
On motion by Carver, and ueconded by Steinmetz, four firemarl
were authorized appointment to the Fire Dept. They are
U. L. Sorbouseh Wm. G. Serbousek, Writ® Shepard and Myron Burger.,
Carl bechner was present and visited and discussed in detail
further facets of rho sanitary sewer system,
Special meeting announced by the Hayor for arob 22 for ,3
detailed discussion in regard to Special Sewer Assessments
with ischner.
No further business, it was moved, seconded and carricd to
adjourn.
