The Town council of Fairfax met at 7 3 9 PX on Jan. 7� 1963
All councilmen present,
The minutes of the Dec.. 3, 1962 meetin,,g were read and approvede
Sanitary Sewer Contract Change Orders Number 6 thru 10
were read and agreed to be in order. The Mayor would sig
them on approval of the Engineer.
Fire Chief Carver requested council approval of two new
fir°emant Lyle I ovar and Lloyd Hofmaster. Notion made,
seconded and carried to approve these two new fireman®
Marshall Serbousek inquired about out of town calls®
The problems involved were presented and he stated that
he had .requests for O.Ut of town calls. Council to chedk
into such things as insurance and compensation before
anything more definite than the existing policy will.. be
established,
Serbousek also cited a problem in the Iowa Fund Addition
in regard to storm sewer manholes being in an open condition
it This condition had been reported to Iowa Fund in an effort. .
to determine whether or not they are presently completed by
the contractor. If spl then it was felt that the town should
proce;dd with some proper safeguard..
Warrants number 496 thru 540 were road and approvede
No further business to dome before the me ating, it was
moved, seconded and carried to adjourn..
