The town council of Fairfax met in regular session May
6y 1963 at 730 p' 4
All councilmen were present except Steinmetz.
Carl. Lechner was present to go over the lagoon constituction
and to report on it s progress.
Lechner presented the proposal. by Iowa Fund that had
been previously discussed,
It would provide for Iowa Fund to give the Town a, special
warranty deed on the projection of FFont Street ire a
easterly direction from the lift stat.ion# located rtex
the quarry. The town would give a special warrant* deed.
to Ia. Fund for approximately 6.07 acres of land west
of the lagoon site and east of Iowa Fund existing property,
excepting the necessary land for the further projection
of the street above mentioned*
No definite action taken by the council,®
Lechner presented. for Toga Fundy the Second addition plat
and same was requested to be forwarded to the Plan Comm-
ission for their consideration.
A sewer ordinance was discussed with Lechner, Town Attorney
Ackley and inspector Bemis.
Clerk instructed to proceed with pertinent it s, with the
thought that a temporary ordinance may be passed' -then later
rescinded in the future when a more comprehensive ordinance
may be developed,
Gene gamer from Ta. Fund waspresent to discuss improving
the west- end of Prairie avenue® He statdd that he had
visited With some of the adjoining property owners, and that
they were not interested in a perman/e 't improvement.
The council stated that they had no plans in the near future
for said improvement.
An application for Class p Beer permit was read from George
Sisson to replace, the one previously held by Marcella Winchel,le
Rx The Beer permit was approved pending filing of proper
bondt fee, and approval of the necessary authorities, Ci permit '
also approved for last quarter of permit year for Si,sso .
Clerk asked to write to the "Red Top T w'er$t company in
regard to the tower riser repair.
Clerk irnstr9ucted to obtain a. complete set of the "Uniform.
Building Code"'o
Zeni.sek reported that he is attempting to have a water foun.
ain installed for the, playground program.
Minutes warrants were not read at this meeting.
