'Warrants no. 561 thru 583 were read and approved.
The treasurers report was read and ap prevedo
An application far f a Class l Beer permit was
reed. from Albert 'Lq Snelle This permit to be effective
June 26, x.9630 was al. proved pending the providing proper
bond and appraarral from the proper authorities.
An-.apg)l.ication for the Class 3 Beer permit was read from
Charles and Emma Boland. This is a renewal permit, and was
approved pending the filing of p ,raper band and authority
from the prop er authorities.

The chances of moving the fire hydrant on West Main street
to the end of the street were discussed. Certain advantages
pertaining to keeping the lines flushed were painted out.
Nemec to determine what the job could be dove for and report
to council fear° futher° action.
Dorothy Hi.l.ler, Cedar Rapids, was to be contacted by the clerk
for authority to proceed with oiling certain sections of the
gravel roads in the north part of town. Her bid price of $.1
per running foot for an 131 strip was approved. It is estimated
that appro imatel.y 4000 feet will need, ailing;.
Zenisek reported that he had interviewed Jerry Franklin for the
job of 'playground director. His contract price is $35.00 per
week for one week of workshop and allWht weeks of playground
activity$ or a total fee of $35:0.00. He would have control
of the pl.aygr€a nd program and be respolnsibl.e for its implementation,
On motiongmadeg seconded and unanimously approved} Zeni,sek was
authorized to hire Franklin on this basis.

Keith Sankot was aprroved unanimously by the council for a
volunteer fireman at the request of Chief Carver.
Public Liability insurance coverage was explained briefly by
the clerks, but no action taken.
Some discussion about.:liquor permitt was discussed. It appeared
that at le ast Snell would apply fora permit when the time cameg
with others not definite.
