special meeting of, the council was called to order
at 8:40 PM by Ra,yor Kubasa with all councilmen present,
p Slatinow from Iowa Electric Light & poorer Co.
was present. The meeting was called for the primary
purpose of meeting with Mr® Slatinow and passing a
resolution permitting the Haight Cop to reduce rates
for residential users in Fairfax*
On motion by Nemec, and seconded by iinmatzv the attached
resolution was read and unanimously approved,
Council then discussed the .road oiling' that had been
recently orderedp
The license permit froiii the C. & N. 1q, RR was discussed,
Clerk reported on various conversations and correspondence
that had Existed on the subject, This license is
necessary so that the force main can be constructed under
the tracks of the C, & N W., Clerk indicated thathe
would check with our engineer and the rai.lraad representative
immediately to see what the delay is caused from®

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION FIXING AND REGULATING THE MAXIMUM RATES AND CHARGES
WHICH IOWA ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER COMPANY, ITS SUCCESSORS OR
ASSIGNS, IS ENTITLED TO COLLECT AND RECEIVE AS COMPENSATION FOR
RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC'' SERVICE FURNISHED THE RESIDENTIAL CONSUMERS
OF ELECTRIC ENERGY WITHIN THE �° Tr ' OF �°�� T-AX s IOWA'
AND PROVIDING THE TIME WHEN SUCH RATES AND CHARGES SHALL 13ECOME
EFFECTIVE, AND THE PERIOD OF TIME THAT SUCH RATES SHALL CONTINUE IN
FORCE AND EFFECT, AND REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, it is :pow deemed advisable to establish rates and
charges for residential electric service to the �'�3T��;' _ of
177 "� .x® P Iowa., and to the inhabitants thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS RESOLVED BY THE M4,1,
COUNCIL OF THE .�"U�_I OF � a��'�lA IOWA, that said
Iowa Electric Light and Power Company, its ;successors and assigns be,
and it is hereby authorized to charge and collect from the residential
consumers of electric energy in the of
Iowa, the maxi-mum rates and charges as set forth in the attached
Ex hibit "A" hereto, and by this reference made a part hereof,
BE IT AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that said Company is authorized
to make contracts with consumers at other and different rates than
those set forth in Exhibit "A" , provided all consumers desiring
service under similar conditions shall have the privilege of making
similar contracts
BE IT AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the rates and charges set
forth in Exhibit "°A" shall become effective beginning with meter
readings on and after Juv E 26' y lg 63 , and shall continue
in full force and effect until further changed, modified or repealed
by the TowzF Council of FAI,;-,PAX Iowa j or by the
Iowa State Commerce Commission,
BE IT AND IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions and
proceedings of, the Tawpi Council of FAIRFAX , Iowa$
heretofore passed and adopted, in conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed, set aside and held for naught.
