the previous meeting and they

were approved.
The treasurers report was read and approved*
Mrs. Margaret 'Probst.:was present to discuss some blacktop
repairing on her station drive on the highway. right of way
that was damaged waxen the -rater system was constructed*
After a 1'enhy discussion, it was agreed that far the benefit
of all concerned, we would wait until the.. Gas Cap was finished
with :its construction ;to deterine what repair would be necessaryQ

w as agreed by the council that the town :bad some obligation 1
in this matter toward Mrs. Probst.
A Class "B" Club Beer permit was unanimously approved for j
Pekoriy Post , American Legion providing proper application
and fees' along with the band be filed with the clerk.
Fee for this permit to the Town was set at $100.00' the minimuol
alloweld by the Code of Iowa.
Ronald Burger was present to discuss the condition of the culvert
in. f ront of h .s property. It was decided that when 'Pudil did
Qme other work at the Dubishar property: that he would do
some of Burgers work also.
Warrants no.*.: 827 thru 833 were read and approved..
.. .On unanimous vote of the council, Jerry E. Mesta was
appointed to the ttwn council to fill the vacancy .of Wm.
Shepard who resigned last month. This term of: Xertars
riil expire Dec, '31, 1965.

approved to waive the second and third readings of this ordinance..
and that the 'clerk be instructedo post same, with

A Resolution was introduced by Kovar to nape Highway 149
Williams Boulevard and the Street the runs east from the
south end o Vanderbilt Street to be named Linn Street«
On x'all 'call vote, the resolution was unanimously approved*
After some discussion, it was decided to purchase
the neeesary street signs from lows Industries at
the State Reformatory*. Clerk 'instructed to contact
the 'salesman and get t he necessary information .concerning
what would be needed.
A request from Marshall Serbousek for an increase in
salary was discussed at some detail. The clerk had �
obtained letters pertaining to. .marshall salary and other
working conditions at. the request. of the "Mayor from
Palo, 'Atki.ns, Solon, Worway, and Lisbon. These were
presented and discussed.
After much. discussion, it was unanimously approved that
no change be made in the. Marshall.'s salary at 'this time.
It
was farther the consentus of opinion that there is little
doubt but . that Serbo�asek does,'more in the law enforcement
ling than he is expected and also. more. than he is .being
paid for. On pt ssible solution ,pointed out was that less
time could be spent on the job, such as patroling 'in the
carand 'ihe Mayor indicated that he would point this out to l
Serbousek.
No further business, the meeting was adjourned.
