Mirch 17 1965 with ail cooncilmen present. The minutes of
the Fob. I meeting were read and approved. The trea6u=6
report, showing a balance of 29 ,119.51 was read and approved,
On motion by Carver, seconded by Nemec , the following warrants
were approved for billsq being numbered 903 thru 914.
The Official Report of Municipality for Municipal Streets
and Parking for the Town of Fairfax from the period 1-1-64 to
12-31-64 to comply with the Iowa State highway Commission
requirements was approved for filing with the CommYsion, a
copy that is attached hereto,
A nuisance ordinance was discussed relative to its needs and
recent complaints on domestic animals and poultry. Legal
counsel is to be obLained in this connection. Liability insurmsce
Q provide legal liability protection for the rLoi-�m narsha.n AH
in connection with the execution of his official duties was
discudsQd. it was determined that such was not permissible for the
town to obtain.
To determine specifications for a seal cote JQ3 it was agreed
to c&nsult the enginecr to that bids could be taken on street
work. Clerk insttucted to contact Powers & Associates in Ia. City.
W. F. 'Zama ti appeared befuie the council to inquire about
the drainage problem in front W his residence , the trouble
havina been done by the contractor installing the gas lines and
also the telephone buried cable.
It was mentiGned by the MAyor that the construction UK for
the purpose of installing -.,buried cables on the C. & X. W. row
be investigated for the purpose of proper clearance & warning.
Norman Lewis asked the Qouncil about work or, Siepziian Drive.
Solution to that problen left until a decidion was made about
an overall street program.
