A 5pecial me�ting of the Town Couacil was held June 4,
1965 with all councilmen present except Carver.
The purpc5c of this meeting was to meet/ with Jim Powers
to enable him to proceed with the stteet improvement
specifications and plans
Although Powers highly racommended a permanent street
program with concrete curb W gutter and some concrete
strect surface , he filt that due to some additional
settl&g that 1966 was the earliest it should be done,
As a result , he proposed to do a minimum program in 1965
that would serve as a dust control and also a dral"age
imrrovQment. He ststed that a seal cote program woOd
be done this year, but that he didn ' t feel the cost could
be justified con0dering M over all condition of tM
existing streets.
The council stated that they would advise Powers after the
June 7 meeting pf their desire an to what type of program
he should draw up plans and specifications for.
In the discussion, Powers mentionet possible acrstryVion
ccsts for 5 inch./reinforced concrete street at a width
norl
of 45 feet from back of curb to bash of the other cuQ.
Presently, this cost would be about 20 to 422. 00 per ranning
foot based on present conditions.
No further business, the meeting adjounred.
