g-lar moveetins of tHe Fairfax Town Council was hold
June 79 1965 with all coyncilncn present.
The minutes of the May 3 and Juno 4 meeting were read and approved.
The treasyrers report Vowing a balance of $36,673.11 was read
and approved.
Jim Powers visit of June 4 was reviewed and the council unanimously
approvea action to have Powers pvrceed with his sp2gostni wirQuIll
prD9v!w for 1905. He is to draw plans and specifications so that
it can be submitted to contractors for -estimates. The Town attorney
advises that in accordance with Section 391.29 of the Code of lowa,
that publication of proposals is not necessary,
The covncil was advised by Kenneth Salzer, scavtmaster, that the
Bcy Scouts would paint the new street signis when they
The time limit for connections W the sanitary suwer system was
discussed and it was unanimously agueed that the end of this sea_sqn�
or about Nov. 15 would be the deadline for such connections . The/
Mayor would make the determination e4au23y and draft the notiou to
be mailed providing for the 90 day notice as provided for in the
sewer ordinance ,
Bills as represented by warrants no. 9?7 thru 949 and 96C thru 978
were approved. Clerk noted thDt warrants no. 950 thru 955 were
previously uscd in Sewer Const, Fund,

approved by the council.
Clerk asked to write Lechaer in regard to further sanitaticu suwer
problems.

Clerk asked to call lowa Fund about nexinus weeds in theit area.-
An agreement with the Iowa Highway Convission granting permission
to re sufface highway 140 within the corp. linits, ul' F-_'o..irfax, lTas
unanimeagly approved, a copy which is on file wita the d. erk.
A class B. Beer permit was approved for Albert L. Snell pending
the filing of necessary papers and the payment of faes�
Cigarette permits were approved for 7 applicants pending the filing
of fessq bonds and necassary papaya,
