The council met in regular session August 21 1.965 with all
councilmen present except Nemec,
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bill Bemis from Le!chner Egg. Co, was present to discuss
the over flow specifications for the wet well overflow.
It was decided that specs should be drawn to provide a
overflow line of 8" sewer pipe and a ground water line
of 811 perforated corrugated pipe, both to be laid in a
common ditch. Uram the county road to PrIairie Cree#,
the ditch would be open .
These specifications are to be delivered so as to be passed
on to contractors, prior to the Sept. regular meeting if possible
so bids could be taken at that time,
Present at the meeting were Frank Cerveny, John Vondra, Wm,
L.. Serbousek to discL ss the problem of police protedtion'. which
was thought to be inadequate according to these men.
Recent break ins prompted the thought that additional police
survelience would 'tend to eliminate or redued the chance
for burglaries or break ins that have gained in number in
Fairfax as well as the general area in recent months.
The above group recommended to the council that they felt
additional protection would be the solution and that of the
many problems involved to facilitate this increase, it
boiled down to a problem of dollars available for such an
increase,
The council took these recommendations 'under advisement and
said a report would be made by the next regular meeting.
Warrants no, 982 thru 986 and I thru 6 were read and approved,
(no. 987 thru 1000) were used in const:tuction projects)
Council unanimously approved the action of the clerk and
treasurer in investing $15,000.00 in the Fairfax Skate Savings
Bank 4% certificate of eposit.
Clerk asked to check on clorinator prices from Wallace & Tiernan, -�
