Neeting of tho Town Council of Fairfax held this 3rd day of
January, 1962,
Councilmen elect toot the oath of office administered by clerk
Neuhaus a5 follows: Albert Stallman, Lyle Kovar, John Vundra,,
Louis Buresh and Harold Shakespeare.
Mayor elect took the oath of office adm. by clerk Neuhausz
Richard Zenisek.
All the above elected officials to serve a term from Jan. 11,
1966 to Dec. 31 , 067.
The following actions taken by council on unanimous approval:
Xayor pro tee, Lyle Kovor
Clerk, D. 0 . Whaus as per ordinance
Treasurer, Evelyn Carver, as per ordinance
Marshall , W. L. Serbousel at $85.00 per month plus $2.00 per
hSur for radar time not to exceed 20 hours per month.
Fire StAtion Custodian, Russell Carver, $120.00 per year.
Fire ChW9 Russell Carver.
Town Attorney, Farron Ackleyq fee basis
Street and Alley Committee—Stallman, Shakespeare, Vondra
Fairfax State Savings Bank designated official depositary of
town funds n9t to exceed $1759000.00
App- oprilbons made for the year 1966 as follows as per budget
filing in August 1965:

Regular council meetings to be held the second No day of each month
at the town haIJ .
The Blanket Fidelity Bond with United Fire & Casualty Co. covering
each and every town omployee and official was approved,
The above actions, being duly acted upon, were mnanimqusly accepted.
Warrants no. _81 t-h ru 131 were read and approved.
The treasurers report was re-Td and aPj)!7(-,,ve'd,
The Audit of t%e �,ayors Court records for 1965 was presented as
determined by councilmen Lyle Kovar and Rudolph Nemec(65 ). Their
report 5howed a total of 066 ,00 entered in the mayors docket book
and 1765oOD recUpted to the town by the Clarks records, (The clerk
in addition, showed $111 .50 receipted from the mayor that was
refunded on appearance bonds , etc. )

Bids on a new police car were discossed, but no definite
action to be tog until the Feb. meeting.
David & Glenn Selzer's reeve for a street light at the NW corner
of the intersedtion of Church St. & 149 was ap, oved.
Richard Flahertyq commander of the Amarican Legion Post, visited
with the coQncil in regyrd to the town helping the Post toward
a facility for basketball in their building. It was agreed
that the town would contribute an amount not to exceed $5, 00
for each Sunday afternoon sessicn of basketball that the
Legion wool l stafC for a playground activity, the same to be
paid out of the Recreation fund.
Cletk instructed to write Tex Vit , Lechner Eng, Co� Wwwor)
and the State Treasurers offiGn in regard to RUT refunds
if the census is taken in 1966 .
Gary Meadows, representing Smith Douglas Fertilizer CO. , Inn
pre ent to request if the to would consider the Oil sale
of a tract of land ea9t of ihe quarry, west of the lagoon
ard just adjacpnt and nortb of the C. & N. W. Railway R. of W.
Thero was no dofinite action taken at this timet the same to
be discussed at the next meeting,
