The rpgular session of the Town Council of FOR= was held this
14th Uay of Feb. , 1966 with all councilmen present.
0. SlattOoy- from the Iowa Elec. Lt. & Power Co. was present to
discuss improved street lighting. OP unanimous approval of the
coQncil, it was agreed that the proper resolutions be prepared
for the town to execute wheiTby 5 new 175 watt mercury vapor liter
and six new 400 T-..-att r.iercury vapor lites would be installed.
These lites woQ!d extend from the int . of Church St. & 149 eastward
to the Vand® S. , corner, then north on Tanderbilt to Lacey, the
Wust and rurth "cn L y

The final dotails ha vs not been worked out, but cost and feasibility
was discossed, Marshall Serbousel was also presert, No action taken

Fussell Carver, Fine Chief, e7plained to thn council how the town
could purchase from the U. S . Gov 't ® thr the cooperation of Civil
Defensev a used Mail truck for ?,,jOO1Of1 1275.00. Approval for this
unanimously approved.
Ennald Burger was present to discuss the problem of the sanitary sewer
backing into his basement. Nuch discussion was had on this matter,
as it had been done in the past. The important things the town would
endeavor to have accomplished was to be certain that there was no
foreign water, entering the system that would put a load on the pumps,
Also, the town would investigage the posHbIlity of installing a
warning device via telophone, Assurance ryas given Burger that AL !

on several occasions.
An application of Karilyn and Dale Fielder for a class G. Liquor
Permit was approved pending proper filing of insurance , and fee.
Warrar& no. 132 thru 147 ware read and approved.
Treasurers repalt was rea7—?nd approved.
A letter from Milo Kubasa wherein he qffered to sell Lot in Siepmans
addition to the town for $ 1 which inciude6 a drilTed deep
well located on the lot was not accepted. The town couincil r-asoned
that they had ne immediate or forseeabJe need for this site and
therefore co-10 not justify its purchase .
Motion by Buresh , seconded by Tondra to purchase a 199 6 Ard, 4 door,
equippod Witt police package as per specifications, for 819332.00
plus the old squad car, a 1962 Ford, said purchase to be lade from
Kehrli L Xchrli, Ryan , Iowa,,
The other bids submitted were Grant Alliams Fordtown $1,724.00
and Rapi0s Chevrolet $1,782.00.
