Special meeting of the town council was held Mzrch 28, 1.966
with all councilmen present :
The following Consulting Engineers visited with the council
in regard to street improvement recommendations:
Shine, all & Rattery
Powers and Associates
Hall Engineering Co.
fir. Hattery and Janda represented the Shive firm and indicated
a willingness to make a rough review of the town 's existing
streets and the problems that exist and then make a report
to the town recommending certain improvements® With some
reluctance , a non committal estimate of costs for this report
was e,� $200.00.
Jim Powers represented the Powers firm and since he was fairly
familiar with the streets from last years project, he dealt
primarily with the various forms of permanent or semi-g' permanient
types of surface and further discussed costs in this regard.
X. A. Hall represented the Hall Eng. Co. and visited with the
council about street construction in general® 31r. Hall had
no recent knowledge of our street condition. Comparisons
were presented on some other jobs he had recently done.
Some costs were mentioned, but qualified on quantity bas,14.,
It was agreed by the council that they would select one of
these firms to proceed on a preliminary plan no lager than the
next regular meeting.
No further business, the meeting adjourned.
