The minutes of the May meetings were read and approved. The treasurers report approved, showing a balance of 209583.82 Chuck Anderson from Anderson Chemical CD. present to discusa his fluvridation equipment at a cost of $19500.00 Frank Schka and Jim Hill orally applied for a non cQnforming licnese to operate a commercial enterprise at sonkais location. Countil indicated that if a particular business make applicationo there was a chance that such a non conforming perm]t could be issued. One could not be iss ued, however, for just any businesst Clerk reported an inqUry from California Chemical Cc, to operate a warehouse at the Fairfax Fa niture Co. Buildingg owned by Benton Jones. Details of such an operation would be submitted to tLe Mayor. Said ordinance, "NobilG Home and Mobile Rome Parks" . passed on the first reading, with subsequent readings at following meetings. Proposed Ordinance "No. 68-2 , "An ordinance autoorizing fluoridation. of the public water supply of the Town of Fairfax, iowa, and directing the water department to add and supplement fluoride to the public water supply of said town". was read and discussed. Notion by Haral , seconded by Shakespeare to adopt said ordinance was unanimously proved on roll call vote. Notion by Shakespeare and seconded by Karal to dispense with tW,- second and third readings of said Ordinance 68-2 was approved on roll call vote unanimously. Application for Class B Beer Permit for Albert L. Snell approved &n motion by Strang, second by Stallman and carried with Strang, Stallman , Shakespeare and Ehral voting aye and Austin voting nay. The cigarette permits for the folloting six applicants were approved : Albert Suchomel, Albert L. SnelIq John E. Anderson, Elmer Vot-o; , Franklin J Patel and Charles Boland. Clerk instructed to notify tke Fairfax Township trustea5 and the Walford Town Council that the Town of Fairfax would endeavor td have some additional fire protectinn sometime in 1959 to offer the Ownship and the Town of Walford5 and that the Townwould anticipate in their 1969 Budget estimatet a receipt from these two bodies an amount equal to approximately 121 mill levy.
