The Fairfax Town Council met in special session pursuant to
the published notice for taking bids and also for the purpose
of having an objectors hearing on for of notice and contract,
Said meeting called to order at 8: 00 PM by Mayor Shakespeare .
All councilmen presnet.
There were no objectors present and no objections had been
filed® Proceedings for contract openings are contained in
separate documents prepared by the bond attorney®
Architect Joel Johnson opened the bids and tall same.
After all bids were opened and the contract bids read, it
appeared that the apparent Idw hidder was Schoff Construc"Cion Co,
On Notion by Karal and second by Austin, it was unanimously
approved to accept all ADD options on the bid of Schoff and that
they be considered in the contract,
'Proper motion and resolution effected to authorize the clerk and
Mayor to enter into the contract for the construction of the new
fire station with the add alternates included®
Notion made, seconded and unanimously carried to exercise the
option with Alice Barnett and Anna Petrzelka for the purchase
of the land at which site the station would be constructed,
Resolution authorizing clerk to notify Mrs. Barnet and Petrz el,ka
of the Town 's intention to execute the option was unanimously
approved.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
