The Regular meeting of the Fairfox Town Courcil was hdId
Oct. 26, 1970 with all councilmen pres, nt except Austin.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.,
Warrants approved as follows :
Genarel , 1029 thru 104 _
Water, 682 thru 691�_
Sewer, 386 thru 388
B. Meaty wns present to ask Rbout cleaning the ditch in
front of Lis residence. Council agreed thinwa8 a bad conditio-n
ard that the county maintenance department wavid be ccnaultea
to sea when this job cov2 bedcne.
LeRoy Patterson 's request to ope r ate a Hobby Shop in his garage
was apprcved withcut a zoring cLange . Said raquest had re3eivecl
the approval of the P. 1 Z Conminsion , and Lbe council accepted
their recarmandation of permitting this small business to operate
in an otherwise residential zoning.
Deputies Serbousek and Hronidko were present to discuss the
chEngeover of dutj assignments made bT Ze Linn County Sheriff.
- Kenneth Solol wea present to discuss and clarify the petiticn
that had been previously submitted to the council relative t o
police protection. After a considerable disuussion oR thematter,
both by the deputies and othercitizens , along with the council ,
it was agreed thEt a meeting with the Sheriff should be held
so thot some items of business could be clapified.
C16rk instru3ted to notify Albert Sne3l, Byron Hol8ton end Lyle
Vance to remove their abandor& automobile, from their yards,,
in accordance with sect . 60.08,, ToTm code.
The "punch list" on tte fire stn tics was reviewed with notice

approved this request so that a 481 long house Gould be 3 L..fl
on a 60 , wide lot . Co _oil approved the P. & Z . reconnerdation
on notion byMtallman end secorded by Noral with ur2nimous approval.
This approvz! given on the condition thot ane side yard wcold
be at leact 81 in width.
Pernission granted Franklin J. Ural and James Stalinan to
7urchase a pick up truck at the GSA emotion in Des Moineo on
Oct. 2$ and tLet the town would pal Too this vehicle *
